Pr. Kamya Emmanuel
Deliverance is the action of being rescued or set free.
There are so many things that have bound many of us and thus we must call upon God to confront and destroy all the powers of evil and wicked spirits imprisoning & affliction our lives.
Acts 12:5-11, Peter was therefore kept in prison, but [b]constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. 6 And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were [c]keeping the prison. 7 Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” 9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the Iron Gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 11 And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”
Deliverance comes from the church praying. Our deliverance is in church. Every time we fellowship together there is deliverance
Many people in the church need deliverance because their lives are bound by various things, such as illnesses, failure, and poverty. The role of the church is not to condemn but to pray for people to be delivered. The church is now losing power because it has lost focus on its responsibility and role.
What does the church praying do?
It causes the angels of God to come down and answer our requests presented before God
It weakens the power of the enemy of the church.
God delivers us from bondage even that which is attached to our lives as a result of the tribes we belong to.
Acts 16:20, Paul and Silas were brought before the magistrates and were imprisoned because of Jesus. While in prison they sang hymns and psalms to God who shook the prison foundations, opened doors and broke the chains that were binding them.
When you come to church, engage in activities that will lead your life into deliverance (for example praying, forgiveness, praise, intercession) and avoid those that will continue binding you (for example gossiping, backbiting, envy)
Never get tired of calling upon the Lord, asking Him to save you because it is what will cause Him to come down and break every chain that has been binding you.
Offering forgiveness to others regardless of what they did to you is godly and most of the time is very difficult for humans but it’s very key in leading one into deliverance.
A person is equivalent to the faith he has.
When God delivers you, He will do it in wondrous and unexplainable ways.
When you choose to walk with God and wait on Him, no one and nothing will overcome you or hinder your deliverance.
If you want to be delivered;
Never cease praying,
Never leave the house of God & His presence
Never stop fellowshipping with fellow believers. It’s not godly for you to be separated from people God designed us to live peaceably with each other for He uses people to shape, pray and help us. There is great power in fellowship.
Endeavour to have a platform of people who are willing to pray for you in your absence; But how? Be a blessing & an answer to others
