PR. KAMYA EMMANUEL
Today problems are multiplying in the world and they will always be there but as a Christian in order to overcome the unending problems of this world, you have to continuously draw closer to God. We are in a time where the distressing spirit is at work. That is why very many wicked things are done but for you to survive this you need to get deep in Christ.
1Samuel 18:10, 10 And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in Saul’s hand. 11 And Saul cast the spear, for he said, “I will pin David to the wall!” But David escaped his presence twice.
In the above scripture, we see the distressing spirit that was upon Saul which pushed him into doing evil to David. This spirit does not only attack the people in the world but also the born-agains just like it was to Saul.
The more the problems in the world, the more the distressing spirit captures people but as for you if you have the Holy Spirit He will help you to overcome and strengthen you amidst that challenging situation by standing in the word of God
PRAYING IN THE WILL OF GOD
A prayer made in the will of God is the prayer that will deliver you, which will release the promises of God which will also make you stand firmly amidst tribulations.
It’s very absolute for a Christian to know that God only answers prayers that are in His will.
Luke 22:41 41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
In the above scripture, Jesus says that although it could be discomforting to Him as long as it’s the will of the father it had to take place.
Many people pray but only the prayers of a few are answered. Why? Because many people pray outside the Will of God.
Brethren, the prayer in the will of God might be contrary to what you need since God prioritizes other things which are different from yours.
Child of God, take a look at your prayer; is it in the will of God or your will?
In 1Samuel 1:1, When Hannah made a prayer in the will of God, making a vow before God because of what she wanted, she got an answer. Because Hannah’s prayer was in the will of God, she got her breakthrough. However, you must know that she prayed for a long time but not in the will of God.
WHY DO WE PRAY AND DO NOT RECEIVE?
James 4:3, 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
The above scripture explains to us why we pray but receive not. Today very many people fast and pray but never receive answers. Why? Because their prayers are always directed to themselves, not God. This is a wrong prayer because it is in their will not in God’s will.
If we pray in the will of God, it becomes a sacrifice that rises up to God. Your prayer is a sacrifice to God and it must be in the will of God.
David speaks about the prayer which is a sacrifice to God and God will never despise it. (Psalm 51:17)
The prayer in the will of God contains repentance and humility before God.
Brethren, the will of God is also in the word of God. Those who have understood the will of God, prayed through it, served in it, God has elevated them and those who have sought deliverance in the will of God, have had their lives delivered.
Praying in the will of God, causes God to manifest and be revealed in your life.
The moment you make a prayer in the will of God, it will birth the power of God that will continue to uphold you thus making you victorious.
It is also very important to know the will of God in your life, as you seek God. If you do not know the will of God even your prayer will not be in His will.
