Praying in the word of God simply means speaking His language, or talking to Him using His words. So, there is no “formula” or “right” way set by any man regards to praying in God’s Word.
This process comes from what is in your heart and on your mind. That’s why reading the word of God is an obligatory practice that every Christian who desires to see God’s plans towards Him or Her must do whatsoever.
Why is it necessary to pray in God's Word?
- Praying in scriptures prepares our hearts for connecting intimately with God
- Praying in the word of God is praying the will of God
- The word of God is sent forth to us to bring healing and deliverance. See Psalm 107:20.
- The word of God is the confirmation of God’s presence in our lives. In that difficult situation, the assurance that God is with you is in the word of God. (see Isaiah 43:1-2.)
- Praying in the word of God means you are praying in the power and ability of God that enables you to overcome.
- The working of God manifests through the word of God that you confess.
" The word of God speaks to all situations of life any man has ever faced but ignorance of His word is the root cause of all defeats "
For example, how do apply the word of God when have received a bad report from the doctor. God’s report about healing is in His word life. (see Psalm 103:3, Psalm 118:7, Exodus 15:26, Exodus 23:25)
"Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases;" (Psalms 103:3)
Unto He or she who feels discouraged, stand in the word of God. Joshua 1:7, be of good courage and strength.
Inconclusion, praying for so long minus the word of God in your prayers is a wastage of time. When Jabez prayed in the word of God, God answered his prayers. (1Chronicles 4:9-10)
Therefore, the right prayer is in the word of God. Other references, John 5:17, Genesis 3:19, Jeremiah 3:14-15, Proverbs 16:1, Luke 22:46
